Patrick Comerford is Director and Underwriter at Castel NAPL, an underwriting unit under Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers International. Originally from Dublin, Patrick has been residing in London since 1986, bringing with him close to 40 years of valuable experience in the insurance sector.

Beginning his career in the Irish insurance industry, Patrick transitioned to Minet MIPI in London in 1986. Throughout his career, he has held key roles at Willis Faber and Johnson & Higgins Inc., where he played a pivotal role in establishing their UK PI business. In 1996, Patrick made a significant move to AIG/Lexington to spearhead the development of their professional liability underwriting division. Recognized as a leading underwriter for top professional service firms globally, he served as a Senior Vice President at AIG, focusing on Construction E&O and Professional Liability. Joining Pioneer in November 2013, Patrick took on the challenge of establishing PNA 9987, a Lloyd’s facility specializing in North American professional liability business.
