Joe Murphy is Managing Director of Emerald, UK. Emerald Underwriting Managers provides specialized insurance solutions for primary and excess casualty.

Prior to becoming a Managing Director, Joe started the US E&S team at the Chaucer syndicated in London in 2017. Joe began his career in 1989 in Boston as a casualty underwriting trainee, moving on to roles as a large account underwriter, national accounts senior underwriter and then moving into the E&S wholesale underwriting world in 1993.
