Dan Houska is Managing Director of Emerald Underwriting Managers, US, joining Ryan Specialty in 2021.

Dan began his insurance career over 30 years ago as an E&S Casualty wholesale broker, a path he continued for over 20 years, holding management positions as well as being a production leader. Dan then transitioned to the underwriting side and most recently served as Regional Vice President of the Central Region for Arch Insurance Group.
