Brian Lillis serves as Chief Operating Officer for Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, a division of Ryan Specialty. Brian has served in a variety of operational, technology, M&A, strategy and finance leadership roles, serving most recently as Senior Vice President. Since joining Ryan Specialty in 2013, Brian has dedicated his time and efforts to the success of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers. He has been instrumental in the continued growth and future expansion of this division.

Prior to joining Ryan Specialty, Brian was with CNA Financial Corporation, supporting large strategic projects and core business operations within the IT and Operations Departments. Brian began his career at Allstate Insurance Company as a financial analyst. In total, Brian has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in finance and management from University at Albany (UAlbany) in Albany, New York. He was a two-year team captain, four-year starter, two-time NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament participant and Hall of Famer for UAlbany Men’s Division I Basketball Team. Brian holds an MBA from the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University Chicago.
