Alice Phillips Topping is the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer for Ryan Specialty. Alice oversees all of the marketing and communications efforts for Ryan Specialty corporately including the business units within RT Specialty, Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers, Ryan Alternative Risk and Ryan Specialty Benefits. Alice joined Ryan Specialty in 2015.

Prior to joining Ryan Specialty, Alice was with Aon Re for 17 years. During the second half of her time at Aon Re, Alice was responsible for the marketing and communications of the reinsurance brokerage operation. Alice developed her knowledge of the insurance industry as a reinsurance broker for Aon where she handled specialty casualty / professional liability accounts. Alice’s insurance career began with a 12-month secondment at Lloyd’s of London.

Alice is proud to serve as a Founding Member of WOW! (Women. Opportunity. Winning.) – Ryan Specialty’s women focused employee resource group. Also serves on the Woman’s Board of the Art Institute of Chicago as well as the Northwestern University Women’s Board.

Alice has her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and has a BBA from Southern Methodist University.

Alice was recognized by Insurance Business America as an Elite Women of the Insurance Industry in 2024.
