Trident to become exclusive underwriter for Aspen’s Marine Hull, Primary and Excess Marine Liability business

October 31, 2025 | Chicago, IL – Ryan Specialty (NYSE: RYAN), an international leader in specialty insurance, is pleased to announce that Trident Marine Managers (“Trident”), a Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers company, has entered into an expanded underwriting agreement with Aspen Insurance Company. Under this new arrangement, Trident will serve as the exclusive underwriter for Aspen’s Marine Hull, Primary and Excess Marine Liability business.

Effective November 3, 2025, Matthew Taucher will join Trident as Director of Hull and Marine Liabilities and brings over a decade of underwriting experience, most recently serving as Vice President, Hull and Liability Manager at Aspen. With this transition, Aspen and Trident have agreed that all servicing, renewals, servicing of in force policies, and new business will be managed by the newly established underwriting unit led by Taucher, effective from this date.
