March 1, 2017, CHICAGO, IL – Ryan Specialty Group (RSG), the international specialty insurance services organization based in Chicago, and Trident Marine Managers, Inc. (Trident), the specialist MGA focused on insurance solutions and related claims adjusting services for the marine industry, are pleased to announce that the acquisition of Trident Marine Managers, Inc. was completed on March 1, 2017. This transaction was previously announced on February 24, 2017.

Martin Hayes and Michael Johnson are joint Managing Directors of Trident and will continue leading the business as a subsidiary of RSG’s underwriting operation, RSG Underwriting Managers. Headquartered in Houston, Trident offers nationwide coverages with a particular focus on marine operations within the Gulf of Mexico. Core products include Marine General Liability, Hull & Liability, Maritime Employers Liability and Umbrella. Trident maintains full underwriting authority and appointments with “A+” and “A” rated carriers.
