AUGUST 27, 2026 | CHICAGO, IL – RT Specialty, the wholesale brokerage division of Ryan Specialty (NYSE: RYAN), has promoted John O’Marra to Regional Director and appoints him to its Executive Leadership team, recognizing his exceptional leadership of the New York City office and expanding his strategic influence across the organization. John remains President of RT Specialty’s New York City office and continues leading one the firm’s most successful property brokerage teams.

With more than two decades in the specialty insurance sector, John has built a distinctive track record managing complex, high-severity property risks. Since joining RT Specialty in 2011, he has grown the NYC operation into one of the firm’s most productive and successful offices. He assumed the role of President of RT Specialty NY in July 2023.
