Stuart Dickinson heads Square Pegs, an underwriting unit within Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers International. Square Pegs provides commercial insurance to UK small and micro businesses, specializing in niche areas and risks outside the appetite of mainstream competitors.

Prior to founding Square Pegs for Ryan Specialty (previously Castel), Stuart was Head of Commercial at Chaucer Insurance UK. Stuart began his career in insurance with the Guardian Royal Exchange in Croydon in 1985. Since then, he has worked in a variety of underwriting roles, both in the company market and at Lloyd’s.

Stuart is a Chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
