Patrick Gavin serves as Managing Director of Alive Risk, a part of Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers. Alive Risk is a specialty insurance leader in the amusement, entertainment, special events and sports and leisure industries with expansive brokerage access and in-house underwriting authority.

He joined the team as an underwriter in 2013 with a focus on special events. Patrick has since risen through the ranks as Operations Manager, General Manager of Programs & Specialty Risk and Managing Director. Today, he is responsible for the overall direction of business development, leveraging his global relationships with leading carriers and brokers to enhance marketing, underwriting and risk management services.

Patrick joined Ryan Specialty in September 2020 through the acquisition of All Risks. He has been instrumental in cultivating new capital relationships in addition to developing numerous new programs. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English from the University of Minnesota.
