Matt Nichols serves as Senior Advisor and Consultant to Ryan Specialty Group’s broker leadership.

Matt joined RSG with the merger of All Risks, Ltd. in September 2020; Matt served as President of All Risks for over 16 years. At the time of the merger, All Risks was the 4^th largest wholesale insurance broker in the United States delivering comprehensive specialty commercial and personal lines solutions to retail agents and brokers nationwide and was on target to handle $2.6 billion in premiums in 2020 and employed over 850 professionals in 27 locations.

Matt joined All Risks in 2000 as Branch Manager of Southeast Operations before being promoted to Executive Vice President in 2003 and then elected President in 2004. Matt’s insurance career began at Colony Insurance Company in 1992, holding positions in underwriting and then being named Vice President of Marketing, which he joined after graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.A. degree in American Government.

Matt was President of the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO), 2012-2013 term, after serving on the Board since 2005. He previously served on the Education Committee and the NAPSLO Education School Advisory Committee. He holds the Associate of Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) designation.
