Anthony J. Kuczinski has been a member of the Ryan Specialty Board since October 2023 and is a member of the Compensation and Governance Committee as well as the Audit Committee.

Mr. Kuczinski is a highly regarded executive leader with over 40 years of (re)insurance experience, 34 years of which were with Munich Re (DAXI: MUV2) in numerous senior roles, including 15 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Munich Reinsurance US Holding. He also served as Executive Advisor to the Munich Re Board of Management for MR US Holding upon his retirement as CEO. Prior to Munich Re, Mr. Kuczinski was Chief Operating Officer of NY Marine and General Insurance Company, a former publicly traded insurance group NYSE: NYM), and he worked in the audit practice for the public accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC).

Mr. Kuczinski currently serves as Lead Independent Director of Skyward Specialty Insurance Group and serves on the Penn Medicine Healthcare System (Penn Medicine) Board and on its executive committee. He is also Board and Executive Committee Chair for Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH), a subsidiary of Penn Medicine. 

Mr. Kuczinski provides strategic and leadership advisory services to senior leaders in the insurance industry through LST Risk Concepts, LLC, a firm he founded for this purpose. He is strategic advisor to and an investor in BluePond.AI, a start-up providing generative AI powered automation and analytics to the P&C insurance industry.

Mr. Kuczinski holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Accounting from Pace University, Magna Cum Laude, and holds a Certificate in Advanced Executive Education from the Wharton School. Tony, a Phi Beta Kappa, is a US Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a member of the AICPA and CPCU societies.
